Declan Kelly (Declan Kelly) has resigned as chairman and chief executive officer of Teneo, a global strategy company, and just a few days ago, he was accused of drunken misconduct at a fundraising concert.
The company said in a statement on Tuesday that Kelly will be replaced by co-founder and chief operating officer Paul Keary, “effective immediately.”
The statement said: “We would like to thank Declan for the leadership and dedication in building Teneo into the world’s outstanding CEO consulting company over the past ten years.”
Kelly has been removed from the board of directors of Global Citizen, the campaign group hosting the concert.
A spokesperson for Kelly told the Financial Times last week that the executive “temporarily reduced his job responsibilities,” “committed to staying awake,” and “is receiving continuous consultation from healthcare professionals.”
