GMC’s six-figure super truck will not go into production until this fall, but when it goes into production, it should be one of the most off-road capable vehicles since the original Hummer.according to Report from General Trucks, Buyers can choose to make it more off-road capability through Extreme Off-Road Package.
Here’s how it works: General Motors decided to launch the most expensive version first. This is the first version of the Hummer EV, which will be available this fall, with a suggested retail price of US$112,595. You can’t book this anymore, because the booking was full a few months ago. The cheaper Hummer electric car will be released every year for the next three years, and the cheapest Hummer electric car will be launched in the spring of 2024, priced at $79,995.
This off-road kit will be the standard configuration of the first version, while it is optional on other models. A GMC spokesperson also told GM Trucks that if buyers only plan to do traffic light dragging on Jeep Trackhawks or anything else, they will be able to choose the first edition without packaging.
So what will the extreme off-road package include? Good things off-road. From General Trucks:

- LT 305/70/R18 Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires
- Anti-skid plate-front differential, battery, rear differential
- Electronic locking front differential with heavy-duty ball spline half shaft
- Virtual electronic locking rear differential with heavy ball spline half shaft
- Front and rear under-vehicle cameras
- Rubber floor
- Premium floor liner
The bottom camera is the right intersection of technology/cross-country overkill. As if anti-skid plates are not enough, you will be able to actually see gaps and obstacles. However, high-quality floor underlayment is a strange and untimely choice. It has been shown/known that the rubber floor of the Hummer EV can be easily cleaned or rinsed off. Why will premium foot pads become part of the off-road packaging?
However, this is small in the grand scheme. This thing will be a beast off-road. This may be the most American electric car to date. Never forget the specifications: 1,000 horsepower, an expected curb weight of 9,000 pounds, the same large 200 kWh battery pack, a range of 350 miles, and a 0 to 60 time of only 3 seconds. This is America on wheels, which may or may not be a good thing.
