Gervonta Davis’ next game is officially scheduled to face Rolando Romero’s fast-rising star on December 5. The match will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be watched pay-per-view on Showtime, the boxer announced on social media on Wednesday. Showtime has not confirmed the game yet. If it happens on December 5th, it will mark the third Showtime PPV to happen on the Sunday of this calendar year.

Although both are in the Mayweather Promotional Stables, there are many bad guys in this battle. Romero spent a lot of energy calling Davis, claiming that he was the bigger boxer of the pair, and insulting on social media.

Davis has become a reliable draw in this sport, and will play against the 140-pound champion Mario Barrios in June in the annual knockout match against Leo Santa Cruz in October 2020. In an excellent duel, Leo Santa Cruz was defeated by TKO. Davis is currently 25-0 and has been eliminated 24 times in his career. His biggest trouble comes from off the court. The domestic violence charges and the trial scheduled for March 2022 are hit and run charges.

Romero’s claim that he is playing better than Davis still needs to be supported, but he has proven that he is an excellent knockout artist with 12 suspensions in his 14 career victories. Romero recently stopped Anthony Igit in an ugly game and saw several fouls before Romero’s power overwhelmed Igit.
